The idea is great, execution horrible. First of all, it would not shut all the way, then trying to get it back off was a nightmare. Thought I would damage the ipod. The clear screen cover that comes with it, also came with a sticker that in order to get the gooey stuff off, you end up scratching the cover. Worthless..
Customer Review: Great Case - provides needed grip
This is the 6th iPod in my household, and all are covered in cases ranging from full to partial covers, leather and plastic, and I have to say that this is the best case of the bunch. As far as protection, you could do better, as the plastic would probably crack upon dropping on a hard surface, however, I do feel it would protect the ipod, and at the very least you are out 20 dollars. Being as the Touch is not cheap, I imagine many will take precaution to be careful around hard floors. That being said, this is where the cases advantage lies - the back of the case is covered in rubber "dots" that provide an unbelievable grip. My wife has a Touch also and is using the Griffin i-Clear - while it is a nice looking case, it is very slippery in the hands. Not the Hybridshell - you will not lose grip of this case. Why not 5 stars? All is not perfect. Once you get this case on, it is NOT EASY to remove. This would not normally be a problem, except that the case does not air seal the iPod, and dust WILL get in. You will need to remove the case about once a month if you are obsessed with these types of things. (you can get it off, but you will need a flat head screwdriver to slip into the side and slowly move your way up top the top latch - then repeat on additional latches) In summary this is an excellent case with just a few minor drawbacks. It looks great, serves it's basic purpose, provides a much needed grip, and for the money, you cannot do better than the DLO Hybridshell.
